Hi I’m Lisa, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Life Coach with over 25 years of experience serving adults throughout Maryland and Virginia.
I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland School of Social Work and my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with adults in a variety of clinical settings, helping individuals navigate a wide range of personal and professional challenges.
My professional experience includes the DC Bar Lawyer Assistance Program in Washington, DC, the APS Employee Assistance Program in Falls Church, Virginia, the Crisis Management Team in the Emergency Department at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland, and my own private psychotherapy practice. Working across these diverse settings has provided me with a broad perspective on the challenges people face and has helped shape the compassionate, practical, and individualized approach I bring to my work. I am committed to helping clients gain insight, develop effective coping strategies, and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.
I specialize in treating adults with anxiety, ADHD, insomnia, depression, relationship struggles, low self esteem, and work related stress. I use several therapeutic approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), solution focused therapy, mindfulness, and psychodynamic therapy.
In our work together, we’ll explore not just what’s happening in the moment, but the bigger picture: what’s holding you back, what patterns keep repeating, and what you truly want for yourself. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of your next step, I’ll help you gain clarity, build on your strengths, and develop practical strategies that support meaningful, lasting change.
